Privacy Policy

KIIP Korean Learning is a study app that helps Nepali speakers learn Korean for the Korea Immigration & Integration Program (KIIP, levels 0–5). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices and rights you have. By creating an account and using the app, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information

• Name — provided when you create your account.
• Email address — used to sign in, identify your account, and contact you.
• Phone number — if you choose to provide it when the app asks, it is stored with your account.

Learning data

• On your device: your detailed learning progress, mastered words, streaks, and quiz state are stored locally on your device (in your browser's local storage). This information stays on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
• On our servers: we store a small activity summary linked to your account — a last-active timestamp and high-level progress counts — so we can understand overall usage and support you.

Technical information

When you use the app, our hosting and database providers automatically record standard server logs (such as IP address and device/browser type) to deliver and secure the service. We do not build advertising or behavioral profiles, and we do not use a third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDK.

2. How we use your information

• To create and operate your account and sign you in.
• To save and sync your account identity across devices.
• To understand overall usage at a high level and improve the app.
• To respond to your requests and contact you about your account.

3. How your data is stored and protected

Your account data is stored in a hosted database and authentication service (Supabase), and the app is delivered through our hosting provider (Vercel). Data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. If you sign in using Google, Google processes your sign-in to authenticate you. We restrict access to account data to what is necessary to operate the service.

4. Third-party services (sub-processors)

We share the minimum data necessary with the service providers that run the app on our behalf:

• Supabase — hosted database and account authentication.
• Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
• Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google, to authenticate you.

We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising-based tracking.

5. Children's privacy

KIIP Korean Learning is intended for adult learners in the Korea Immigration & Integration Program and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@bizyatra.com and we will delete it.

6. Your rights and choices

You may, at any time:

• Access the personal information associated with your account.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your account and personal data — see our Account & Data Deletion page.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@bizyatra.com from the email address registered to your account.

7. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. When you request deletion, we remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except for limited information we are required to retain for legal or security reasons (kept only as long as required, then deleted).

8. Governing law (South Korea — PIPA)

We handle personal information with regard to the Republic of Korea's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Where PIPA applies, you have rights to access, correct, delete, and limit the processing of your personal information, and to be informed about how it is used.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date below and, where appropriate, notify you within the app.
